Long-term care is hard work, physically and mentally. I try to do one little extra, kind thing each day for someone, whether it’s a hug, a smile, making someone laugh or just giving an extra moment to listen. Turns out, I get as much out of those moments as the patients. The other bonus is I get to work with a crazy group of wonderful people, and who doesn’t love that.”
