Sanford Now

Sanford NOW is the newest tool available to outlying facilities and physicians whose patients are in need of air transport and/or emergent specialty physician referral or consultation. The bright blue "hot-line”"phone is easily identified and user friendly. By picking up the receiver of the Sanford NOW phone there is an immediate connection to a toll-free priority line in the Sanford Intensive Air Communication Center. Specially trained staff are standing by ready to facilitate air transport dispatch and/or referral/consultation with the appropriate physician. Installing this free telephone in the emergency departments of referring hospitals links the facility with a comprehensive health care organization ready at a moment's notice to support the care that is already being provided. These phones have been installed in most of the Sanford Health regional facilities as well as other facilities interested in this tool for expediting care of their patients. The Sanford NOW phone enables regional emergency departments to access Sanford USD Medical Center’s resources, in the shortest time possible to meet the needs of their patients.
