Memorial Garden and Chapel Virtual Tour

Inspired by the crash of the Trauma 1 helicopter and the tragic loss of its crew, a Memorial Garden and Chapel were conceived to help give those with ties to Sanford Health, a place to reminisce, reflect, and heal.

Memorial Garden

Enclosed in solarium fashion, the Memorial Garden and Chapel is located between the Locken Lobby and the hospital cafeteria and is intended as a place for solitude, renewal and spiritual reflection for anyone who wishes to use it.

The Sanford Health Memorial Garden and Chapel serves as a permanent memorial honoring the lives and memories of Shannon Nolte, Merton "Tiff" Tiffany, and Melissa "Missy" Wittry - the Trauma 1 crew who lost their lives in the line of duty on August 20, 1998. A memorial wall provides an opportunity for eternal recognition for those who wish to memorialize family members and loved ones.

Chapel

The Chapel allows individuals or small groups, a place to seek out God's presence, power and peace. The external rounded wall of the Chapel offers permanent recognition and honor to those memorialized by contributors to this project, and to the memorial fund of the Sanford Health Foundation.
